I've been having a ton of fun with this project so far! I love working in three dimensions, so this is right up my alley. The memory word I chose was "regret." I'm hoping to be able to depict the way regret and traumatic memories can feel as if they're tearing a person apart from the inside out; as if they're in everything one touches. My main concern is time, but I think I'll be fine since I'm getting the hardest part, the face, out of the way first. I can also stay after school to work on it. Right now, I'm focusing on sculpting out the head. When I'm done with the carving of the head, I'm going to cast my arms, bring in some sculpey to add dimension to the cheeks and nose, and felt an eyeball or two. After that, my priority will be using sticks from my backyard to mimic my hair and modifying a thrifted top for the sculpture to wear.
